What’s included in the free version?

Mailspring is a complete email client for free: unlimited accounts, unified inbox, search, mail rules, signatures, templates, themes, spellcheck, contacts, and every provider we support. You don't even need a Mailspring ID unless you want the features below.

Pro features you can try every week

With a free Mailspring ID you get a weekly allowance of each Pro feature. The counter resets every week:

  • Snooze — 15 conversations
  • Send Later — 5 messages
  • Send Reminders — 5 messages
  • Read receipts and link tracking — 5 messages each
  • Shareable thread links — 3 threads
  • Contact and company profiles — 3 lookups
  • Translation — 50 messages; grammar check — 5 messages

When you hit an allowance, Mailspring tells you ("You've reached your quota") and the feature is available again the following week. Nothing is removed or downgraded.

What Mailspring Pro changes

A Pro subscription makes these features unlimited (translation and grammar check have generous caps of 800 per week, and profile lookups 20 per week, because they use paid third-party services). Everything else — including the number of accounts — is the same as the free version.

Being told you've reached a limit even though you subscribed? Open Preferences > Subscription and make sure it shows your Pro plan; signing out and back in refreshes it. If it still doesn't, email support@getmailspring.com with your Mailspring ID address.
